Swimming with Infants: 8 Things You Need to Know

When you have a newborn baby, and summer is approaching, you begin to contemplate swim lessons. We all have seen the videos circulating on the internet of an infant falling into a pool, only to turn on their backs and start floating. Those videos make some people anxious or uncomfortable, while they make others feel empowered. “YEAH! I’m going to do that to my baby,” or “NO! That’s child endangerment!” I naturally felt uncomfortable seeing such a small child fall into a pool, swallowing what seems like too much chlorine water. Word to Your Mother: 8 Reasons to Thank My Mom

You taught me everything
Everything you’ve given me
I’ll always keep it inside
You’re the driving force in my life, yeah
There isn’t anything
Or anyone that I could be
And it just wouldn’t feel right
If I didn’t have you by my side
You were there for me to love and care for me
When skies were gray
Whenever I was down
You were always there to comfort me
And no one else can be
What you have been to me you will always be
You will always be the girl
In my life for all times

I was not looking for anything in particular. Maybe today was a “National Day Of…” that I could celebrate. You know I’m a sucker for pretend holidays. Anyway, I remember on this day back in 2007 (7/7/7), we were told that it was the luckiest day ever. I guess I thought that because today was 7/7/17, that it was also a lucky day, a perfect day even. Although I did not know what I was looking for when I Googled the date, I found exactly what I needed to find.
