What I Did

Check out this cute birthday dinner outfit I put together for a friend’s birthday dinner! It is PERFECT for a dinner on the beach. The restaurant, Shaggy’s, is in Biloxi, MS. I will always complain about how HOT the Mississippi Gulf Coast is, and how hot Mississippi is in general, but sometimes, our summer nights are very breezy. We also are recovering after being inundated with rain over the past week, so sitting outside for dinner was the way to go.

Plus, who doesn’t love restaurants on the beach?!

What I Wore

The top is a bodysuit cami and it is ONLY $11 (with tax) from Forever21 that you can purchase here. The skirt came from a boutique in Miami called Electric Boutique near the end of 2015. Y’all should definitely check out their website! They have a lot of cute pieces that are low in quantity so you can feel unique. Visit them here. They also deliver extremely fast. I have not had a bad experience with them. The only thing I suggest is that when you see something you like, buy it IMMEDIATELY. It is guaranteed to sell out quick. I don’t remember the price of the skirt, but I know I was GEEKED to wear it because I bought it a few months before I got pregnant, and never got to wear it.

I paired the outfit with my go-to nude sandal heels from Steve Madden that you can purchase here. It’s among their “most loved” pairs of shoes.

The best thing about bodysuits is that they pretty much go with any bottoms that you want to tuck into. At one point, I had an array of t-shirts to wear with jeans and skirts, however, I’m slowly shifting to purchasing more bodysuits. I know, I’m late to the bodysuit craze, but it’s okay. I’m catching up! They have a tighter fit, and will not make you look frumpy, lumpy, bulging, or rumpled.
