Winter Warmers
This past Saturday, the weather decided to drop to a very wonderful 55 degrees. You know what that means in Mississippi…BRING OUT THE SWEATERS, SCARVES, and BOOTS! Winter warmers such as sweaters, scarves, and boots are the perfect go-to when you need to layer. We are in that season where it is 50 degrees in the morning and 70 degrees by the afternoon. Sweaters can range from thin to chunky, short to long, while scarves can easily be taken off when it begins to warm up.
Fortunately for us, we in South Mississippi experienced a cold snap and was able to enjoy the cool weather all day. The plan for the day was to take Jax to the pumpkin patch. I thought that even if he did not want to enjoy the fall festival that the farm was having, we could still get a few cute photos. However, the laziness in me kicked in and I made the decision to sleep in. I did, however, muster up the energy to get dressed, for a quick trip to the mall.
Do I not look extremely mom-ish? I feel like I belong on the cover of an Old Navy catalog. I paired this cream-colored chunky high-low sweater with white jeans, a floppy hat, and some over-the-knee boots. Talk about a southern belle mama. And, who says you cannot wear white after labor day? Girl, please. I did just that & apologized to no one for it!
I’m obsessed with how cute this outfit is. I’m loving everything about it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for reading!
I love this look! You look so warm and cozy lol I live in PA and go to school in the mountains so cold is an understatement up here. I need to find me some warm chunky sweaters to hold me through these fall days!
Good post!
Thank you! I could not imagine living somewhere as cold as PA!
This outfit is so adorable! I love that you incorporate your southern belle into your sense of style. I don’t follow fashion rules so I wear white whenever I want lol
Thank you, as I continue to build a new wardrobe and post about it on my blog, I hope to continue incorporating a little bit of Southern flair.
